We are fully integrated into the municipality owned, non-profit regional development company Kainuun Etu Oy, which operates across multiple business sectors and utilises approximately 50 sector specialists. Our aim is to develop and raise the international profile of the Kainuu region as a place in which to invest by assisting in the creation of investable local companies, assisting existing local companies to ready themselves for investment and making the introduction between investor and target investment case. The majority of our work currently is in the Data Center, ICT and Gaming sectors.

VirtualKajaani 2.0. project, managed by Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KUAS), seeks to expand the already created virtual model of the city of Kajaani and make sure the environment is from its functionality rich, gamified experience for the needs of many user groups. The environment offers to the region`s companies a chance to develop new business models and to game developers a platform for developing business. Furthermore, the model serves Kajaani tourism marketing. The project`s mission is to expand the existing virtual Kajaani model - to develop a multipurpose and interactive environment as well as design and create business concepts and business models and also integrate activities to KUAS` research development and innovation activities.
